Matthijs van Nieuwkerk and DWDD say goodbye: ‘The adventure is over. The talkshow has been on Dutch evening television for 15 years with lots of viewers every night. A few years ago I had a great time at the talkshow presenting the 3D simulation of co-host Marc-Marie Huijbregt’s face with a before & after of a Botox treatment. Matthijs van Nieuwkerk was curious to find out if I had any work done to myself.
Sophie Hilbrand sits down with plastic surgeon Farid Kazem in the TV show ‘De Wereld Draait Door’. They talk about the consultation with the 3D simulation of Sophie’s face with a before and after of a laser treatment. You can so clearly see how your face is put together, that Marc Marie wanted to try it as well.
Before and after photos
First the Vectra portable 3D camera was used to make three dimensional photos. With the special 3D software, Kazem shows how irregularities can be softened. Without incisions, but using a little Botox and fillers.
Marc Marie questioned if there weren’t any risks of getting ‘wings’ between the nose and eyes. Doctor Kazem explains that the thickening between the nose and eyes is caused by injecting too much Botox.
What has doctor Kazem done to himself?
Matthijs van Nieuwkerk was curious to find out if the doctor had any work done to himself. That is not (yet) the case, except that he does have a skincare regimen with his own brand of skincare products.
Is there a way back once you start?
As we get older we lose volume in the face and the elasticity is reduced, the contours of the jawline becomes less tight. After a treatment you get used to the results fairly quickly. By taking photos beforehand you’ll see the difference after very well. You’ll stay satisfied with the result and won’t overdo it.
Sophie doesn’t do a treatment.
After seeing the effect of the Clear + Brilliant laser treatment, Sophie pondered, “why not?”. Until she visited the expo in Monaco and decided that she’d rather accept that her appearance changes through the years. Marc Marie does note that for Sophie it’s an easier choice because she already looks very good. Despite that even some models chose these treatments.
Continuation Men in the Wrinkles.
Sophie in the Wrinkles is aimed purely at women, but with the men at the table during DWDD, Sophie doesn’t exclude doing another segment focusing on men and cosmetic treatments. Even the vicar Gremdaat, who gave a fiery speech on restoring and respecting the wrinkles, was still very curious what it would cost to remove his liver spots with a laser treatment.
