Consumer Affairs review CoolSculpting
Losing weight by freezing fat cells? That sounds almost too good to be true. Our curiosity drawn by the Tel Sell commercial the Dutch Consumer Affairs tried the SlimFreezer. Afterwards, Consumer Affairs made an appointment with plastic surgeon Farid Kazem to see how a professional CoolSculpting treatment works.
Conclusion Consumer Affairs
Contrary to what SlimFreezer claims, the device is not comparable to a professional ‘CoolSculpting device’. The test subject felt, saw and measured no discernable difference as to how they felt before the SlimFreezer treatment. The effect immediately after the treatment on the love handle was far from comparable to the professional treatment.
Consumer Affairs filmed the result 8 weeks after the treatment. Results after 1 treatment, existing of 2 cycles: a flatter stomach and a loss of size of 8 centimeters.
Good to know!
Only CoolSculpting by Zeltiq uses the Cryolipolyse method. There’s a lot of offers for imitation treatments that claim to remove fat forever using cooling techniques. Consumer Affairs found these imitation treatments hard to differentiate from CoolSculpting. By calling imitation treatments Cryolipolyse and to refer to scientific evidence and the FDA approval the consumer is deceived.
